When you replace the engine do u need to replace all the other bits and bobs if they are working fine.
my engines on 135k and just wondering how much its gona cost if it goes, what mileage should i start thinking about a replacment engine?
as ive seen you can get the engines (just the engine) for £500-700 so guessing its gona be labour charges on top of this to put in £200-400?
when Part exchaning what milage do dealers consider 'alot' i should get around £1000 part ex on a 150 im hoping, cars in good enough condition etc.
Just trying to work out if it will be cheaper to do engine replacement when time comes (whenever that is) or part ex soon (with around 140-150k on the clocks) for a 130/150.

Good point there mate! I wanna know the answer to this myself. But if its done 150k and you decide to change it, i suppose things like clutch mileage come into play. But then as for gearbox life etc, i have no idea whatsoever so hopefully the mechs on here can shed some light :nerd:
