No just been into the vw dealer who says my car has been built (bw7) now has await shipment on his screen . Just wondered where they come into the uk ?

My GTI came into the Port of Tyne. I think there is a few places, depending on where the car will end up in the UK.

There is 3 ports that are used that i know of for the UK.
Grimsby, Tyne and Sheerness.

thanks for that the salesman seems to think that there is a delay in the ships setting sail due to weather problems

It would have to be an almighty weather front to stop ships that size and weight from sailing. I'd say he's full of brown stuff.

Mine will be at Grimsby tomorrow.
Then at the dealerhip early next week.
Built BW8, shipped BW9, delivered to dealership BW10.
Car can be delivered to my home during BW11 or BW12. I prefer the latter date.
The wait is about to end! :smiley:

VWkev. I think it was heavy snow at the port of Emden that caused loading delays, not delays to the actual sailing of the ship. My dealer sent me some pics taken at Emden where the cars are kept, and the snow was very deep. So I don't think the brown stuff applies this time.
