Title: Maybe of interest to you
Post by: Casabian on 02 March 2010, 14:48
I ordered these mats from Autostyle and they just arrived today. I liked the idea of the red beeding and I know you don't get this with the mats supplied with the GTI so went for these. I must say I am very happy with them. A very high standard of carpet and the red beeding is in a leather cloth material. Don't know how they'll fit in the car because I haven't got the car to test but I'm guessing all will be fine. You can make the carpets to your own preference so go check it out.

Thought long and hard about it but I have the metal GTI logo things to go in to the seat adjustment handles and a sweet GTI tax disc holder and with GTI on the carpets to I thought it would be to much. The whole reason I bought this car was due to the fact I wanted something more grown up and subtle to what I'm trading in.

Are the carpets relatively thick?
I think the original mates are paper thin and will probably be done by the time winter is over

Yeah they are very good. There actually not that far away from something you would be happy to put down in a house. Defo worth the money imo because I've not eard good things about the supplied mats

My mats spent almost 3 weeks frozen in the winter with the amount of water that dripped off my shoe's, in the end I kept taking them into work to dry and thaw out !!
