i need some strut top suspension mounts caps were can i get these from ? Found one on the bay but don’t really want to get them from there.

Think i asked for the wrong thing :huh: i mean the part in the link, like a metal dish with a hole and a lip all way round

Oks Well i hit a VERY BIG pot hole not to long ago [fooked my car up badly it mashed my alternator and sheared a bit off it then my belt came off and I needed a new alternator, snapped passenger side spring at the top . . . Etc ] also damaged my bearing in the suspension bushier and bent the spring disk looked on etka think that’s right. I ve got a pair of strut mounts just need the spring disks and going to sort it. Just to last me till May when I get my Coilover suspension.

Started a claim Jan 04 and still in process but only calming for 300ish for my alternator and getting recovery from were it happened, the spring didn't know about till a week or so after i sent claim in and now my suspension bushier and the dish part.
Still waiting for that part Wazzer :laugh: lol

rheady you shouldn’t have said anything , got home . . and there was a letter from the council saying there not libel for the damage saying that it was between there maintenance checks so " i have now investigated the incident and am sorry but do not feel able to offer you any form of compensation". . . . well i am defo not letting this go, the pot hole nearly swallowed my golf lol, well not quite but when i hit the pot hole my head smashed against the roof liner, was bad . Think angry letter time lol :grin:

Ask to see proof of when the road was last checked, did the pot hole have any markings around it? If not then they haven't seen it...

it had been filled a day earlier, so wasn’t done correctly! ill get my cash back even if it take a yer i dont give up :evil:

oks the part i need is number 8 . . . i think looks a tiny bit diffrent, number 6 and 5 which were damaged as well and number 9 sheard about 1inch from the top.

Bushes turned up Friday, missed the royal fail but picked them up this morning from the depo, ill get them fitted them Monday after work I think just need that part now. Anyone got a name for the part 1J0 412 341 which Wazzer kindly soured for me.
I think they well do till May when I get my coilovers.
Got these from www.veedubmachine.co.uk/ the service has been great so far, well defiantly use again.

VW Rotherham 1J0 412 341 £7.43 including vat so round £6.32 should be getting it tomorrow. on the way to get my bushes fitted after long last. . i do say should be getting lol. probably have to sort sorting out and have to put it off again :undecided:

The council have paid me for the damage from the pot hole i hit, all £306.00 what i clamed for, but which i could have clamed for my spring, bushes etc which were damage and didn’t know till after but still . . . . . YAY shame most well go in to the savings were i took it from to pay for the repairs in the first place :sad:
