Typically ones popped tonight and I have my MOT on thurs, working all week too so is there a quick/easyish method to try without taking the bumper off? It's the one on the passenger side which has gone but I guess it makes sense to change both to something better...
But it's just a lack of time to get it done... any tips? Search really wasn't much use lol keeps coming back with no results?!

Get someone with small hands to change it for you

I'm gonna nip halfords tomorrow as ones over the road from work, I aint keen... but if they do it 6 quid a bulb they can do cuz I aint got the time to rip bumpers off lol
Will let you know if I see owt else on me travels for a quick easy guide :)

seek and ye shall find and its very very easy, i did it in 5 mins, the hardest part is unclipping the bulb, this is done by pushing the clip forwards and to the left which worked for me

halfrauds wont do it...just to warn you...they want to remove the air filter and the works to get to it and say its something like £40...missus went in without asking me and told em to bugger off. It is a bugger to do but is possible if you take your time like peeps have said.

Gonna struggle with this then I think, nowhere light to work on it at night and I'm at work all week until thurs morning which is MOT time! :(

get the bumper off easiest and quickest way its only a handfull of T20/25 torx bits and washer caps off (if fitted) easier than fecking your hands up

I *think* VW offer a free fitting service on bulbs, although i don't know wether that's part of a service or if you just buy the parts...

Hi
The passneger side one I was determined to do without removing the battery. I did it. Right tips:
1.Use a mirror to see how the wire clip hooks to lock.
2.As you withdraw the headlamp bulb, watch the orientation of the notch at the base of the bulb. This notch sits in a designated place in the headlamp. The notch on the new bulb must be placed in this place.

I managed to do n/s dipped bulb without taking bumper off. Took about 30 mins with a torch and an inspection mirror.
Won't be doing that again! I'm having a bumper off, bulb makeover party when the weathers nicer

A photo of the hook. Be warned this is of the drivers side. The pasenger side one will be facing the opposite way.

Mate of mine claims he will be able do it, gonna meet him in a min... in the dark! I don't think this is gonna go to plan lol.
If not I'm gonna nip it up a mates garage early in the morning and get him do it and pay the price lol

Can't believe it, 10 mins, both sides done.
Told him sign up on here and earn himself plenty of fivers haha.
