Title: Gearbox query
Post by: lee_lee08 on 28 February 2010, 13:44
Does anyone know if I can fit different gearbox codes to my engine?

I have a 1996 P-reg Mk3 Gti AGG 2.0l 8valve lump and have blown a hole in my gearbox which was an 020/301103 DFQ150564/14 am I able to fit other codes like the CHE or any others to my engine without problems? I dont want to change ratios and fit a MK2 gearbox which would sit at 4000rpm at 70mph on motorways or so I've heard/read?

Also...........

If anyone knows of one for sale! send it my way?! I need my car asap.
