Title: massive leak! sudgestions pleas
Post by: Cory on 27 February 2010, 16:52
went out to the car this morning . . . and the hole drivers side, front and back, floor pan is a wash of water.
i literally have a puddle in my car!   majorly unhappy. took the door panels off and it is slightly moist in there.
will get the deflector sheet sorted in the week. but i have a massive puddle, under the skuttle tray, and water is
coming through just under the bonnet release cable, where another cable lives aswell. so water is running down
behind the fuse box, and onto the floor. im thinking silicone to plug the hole, and have bought a skuttle tray
as mine was missing. anything else i can do?  gonna attempt to strip the cas ASAP to dry out under the carpet
got a couple mm of water under there.

all suggestions and advice welcome
thanks
cory

THink you've got all it all pretty much covered. Try cleaning out the sunroof channels and clearing and clogs in the drain holes.

whilst you're there might as well put the silicone around where throttle/clutch cables go into the bulkhead and base of the pollen filter as well
