Title: K04 TIP Fit K03s Inlet?
Post by: Purely VAG on 26 February 2010, 22:34
As title, Is a K04 TIP the same diameter at turbo inlet as a k03 TIP ?

Reason being i want to use a 3" MAF tube with a k03s hybrid

Thanks,
Jrd,

dont think so as it is larger, you can prob heat it up and slip it over  :smug:

i've seen pictures of one where they tried to do that.. chewed the pipe up. You need a reducer really, but due to the lack of room down there it's a lot easier to use a k03 tip and go up a size at the MAF end.

it won't fit due to the water pipe on the way .... u can use the ko3s tip to fit the 3" maf it will stretch to fit , my mate had it done in his but jbs04 (hybrid k03) just put in boiling hot water a few minute and use bit of fairy liquid ... Job done
