Okay so im on the verge of ordering some banded steelies but im not sure weather to go for 14" or 15" as i dont really want to do much arch work and going for fronts 7" and rears 8", obviously all depends on what tyres im wrapping them in but didnt wanna go over the top on streching. :undecided:
what do you guys think?

14's look too small.
15's are a better choice. running either 195,50,15's or 205, 50, 15's.

i thought they looked abit small aswell  but im down about 100mm all round at the moment with the rears tucked, could i keep that if i streched the tyres a fair bit more on the banded steelies?
-
15"s all the way and I would go 195/45/15 all the way round.
-
15"s with 195/50/15 which will keep the gearing all ok.
-
guess ill get ordering tonight  although it;s gunna be a while for tyres! what isues would you have with gearing Wayne?

f**k the gearing!! if you have 195/45/15 tyres you will be doing about 57/58mph when the clock says 60.
do you care? banded steels with stretched rubber looks the dog's!
do what you want though dude it's your car.

Yes but will look lost in the arches.

Banded wheels are sooooo nice
WHat colour are you going for with them??
-
i got quoted £390 and they provide the wheels & smooth / primer them and thats from
http://www.bandedsteels.com/
im not sure what colour yet probs white or black to start with :undecided: also i know it's illegal but im waiting on my new plates and they was stuck on with sticky pads so when it was nice last week thought id clean it all off + the car hasnt been driven since as ive been on holiday

Another thing to consider is the brakes bud.
My mate tried fitting 14" steels to his Seat Ibiza GTI Cupra 2.0 16v and they wouldn't go over his brakes.
-
As above 14"s will not fit a GTI.
