1. can you please keep on-topic in this section... this is a detailing section not how far has my brother walked this evening section
2. can you please ONLY give valid advice - dishwashers, a bit of soapy water and fabreeze are NOT what this section is about

beer contains enzymes for the fermentation process so to remove these efficiently you will need a biological cleaner

I suggest that you get a professional valeter on the case... if not I would get hold of a wet vac and a cleaning solution called autosmart biobrisk... spray a diluted mix of the solution, preferable containing an APC too, onto the affected area, agitate with a stiff brush and then wet vac the solution out of the material... the material will be damp for a while but should dry completely within a day or so.

totally what guy said.

just to add to what he said, spraying fabreeze onto a something thats been spilt in the car like beer/milk etc will only mask the smell which will eventually come back due to the bacteria multiplying, removel is the only way to rid the fabric of the bacteria in it, come on guys its not rocket science

Make sure to get all of the beer out of the mats and carpets by straining it out/soaking it up with a cloth/using a vacuum or wetvac. Mates of mine spilled an entire bottle of Southern Comfort in the back of the mk5 last Halloween and it took me forever to get it all drained away and cleaned again. Once the liquid was gone though the smell quickly vanished.

spraying fabreeze onto a something thats been spilt in the car like beer/milk etc will only mask the smell which will eventually come back due to the bacteria multiplying......................... i didnt state to spray fabreeze straight onto it? i stated to use soapy water and a cloth to clean the beer up then to spray fabreeze in the car

a cloth and soapy water will only remove a small amount of the spillage, the bacteria will still remain if not removed by mechanical meens ie a spray extraction machine. fabreeze will only mask the smell for a short period.
