Title: Exhaust tip swaps
Post by: PenguinGTI on 25 February 2010, 11:21
Hi guys, I'm not mechanically minded-washing the car is about as dirty as I usually get my hands.

I fancy swapping off the standard tips from my mk6 GTI and installing oval tips (like the scirocco R)

Could anyone tell me if this is a complex procedure and what I would need to look out for etc.

Any decent welder type would be able to do it.

They may ask you to provide the tip you wish to have swapped.

Grind, tack, seam , polish jobs done

Not being familiar with your setup would you better off just swapping the back box across?
