Hi guys
Another problem, I fir a new timing belt on my mk3 8v, put new power steering fluid in, made sure there was no air in the system, now when my car is ideling the power steering is stiff and I can not hardly turn my steering wheel but if I rev the engine the power steering become light again, if i'm driving the steering is light but if i come to a stand still or slow right down the steering becomes stiff again.
Prior to the timing belt change etc I changed the thermo and i had to drop the power steering pump to get to it. Do you think it could have damaged it but the power steering was ok after the thermo change it since i've changed the timing belt.

is it deffo tensioned right? mine needed re-tightening shortly after i put a new belt on it, didnt squeel but it was still slipping! i set em so about 5mm deflection on the pas belt :)
