time to replace the front pads and disc and rear shoes and drums on my 1.3
EURO on their website show pads priced at about £10 with a picture of 4 brake pads, under the price it says per axle???
what does that mean? whilst im at it is there anything else i should do regarding the brakes??
and also if its EURO or GSF i should go with??
thanks guys

Per axle means litterally both sides acorss one axle.. front being a transaxle if you want to americanise it.. but it basically means front 4 pads, rear 4 shoes, or pads if it was a GTI etc. btw discs are almost always sold in singles so you have to quantity 2..
also neither gsf or euro.. try us at www.vwsonline.co.uk though i recommend as it stands phoning instead as i'm yet to be allowed the time and space to complete the website

sweet beavis!!!
il def take note of the number and try giving a ring tomorrow. by then hopefully ive got a couple of qutoes emailed through.
i will be sure to mention im off the site!!
can you recomend doing anything else brakes wise??

im shattered so brain is in shutdown mode but, bleeding the system, and replacing the rear cylinders as theyre not much money would be a feature while its apart, its not uncommon by anymeans for them to be leaking!

now need two front calipers
my mate is braking a G40 polo, will the front calis from that fit on my 1.3??
-
Yep - with an upgrade to vented discs there as well!

aye they're VWII items exactly same as MK2 GTI 239. make sure you get all the fixings as well, the 1.3 has a shorter bolt/slieve on there which needs swapping whjen fitting venteds. FYI need to biuy both the GTI discs & pads, discs are thicker so the pads are thinner!
