Title: Custom Exhaust - pics pg 3 - video pg 6
Post by: Devilz on 24 February 2010, 19:42
Alright, I'm after full turbo back exhaust as recently got ko3s fitted and want to upgrade to spec2 remap but due to standart exhaust limitation couldn't do it at the time. Been looking at my options, and the best price quoted was by R-Tech, which was for Miltek £820 and Jetex £680. Another option is to go for custom exhaust which comes around half the price.

After searching on here, came across one thread from Nav, who got custom exhaust fitted which he is quite happy with.

Contacted TipTop Performance (http://tiptopperformance.co.uk/) and i'm surprised with the price they offered for full turbo back exhaust with 3" downpipe

Need suggestions/advice for what option to go for and what combination you will go for if you want custom exhaust.

Try blueflame or pipewerx! they are both sh!t hot and are good systems!

Pipewerx are the best in the country at making VAG exhausts, Ian birch really knows his stuff! They could probably beat a price of £820 and they are immense exhaust systems!

I've been quoted £350 fitted for full turbo back exhaust (custom ofcourse)  :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed:

I don't think anyone can beat that

3" d/pipe, sports cat, centre pipe, axle pipe and back box

you need to make sure they include a welded bung for the lambda sensor in roughly the same position/angle as the oem one.

when i contacted tiptop, i specifically mentioned full turbo back exhaust system with 3" downpipe so i'm assuming the price they quoted me includes all this. I'll give them a ring again tomorrow in morning to confirm whats included. Thanks for that mate!!

This is interesting as i'm in the process of looking at upgrading from the standard exhaust system.

I think the only company that makes systems to your spec is RSR south of the Thames.

Post by: Devilz on 24 February 2010, 20:28
you got any link to their website mate??

Also which rear valance i should go for. I think 4motion and anniversary are the options but one of them is very cheap compare to the another one. Anyone got part numbers for both please and i'll check the prices with local dealers tomorrow

I quite like this style: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330390995760&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT  as it has the discrete tailpipes, i wonder if an aftermarket company like the ones named could do this?

Save messing with the rear bumper.

Just sorted everything with the tiptop performance. Full turbo back exhaust i.e. 3" d/pipe, sports cat, centre pipe, axle pipe and back box for £387. They going to use T304 stainless steel to build one and I got choice to select tip from 12 available. :afro:

Also lifetime warranty for it (as long as I own the car). Shame the day they can book me I can't make it. Need to sort this as soon as possible.

middle is just a silencer so by removing that you'll make it louder

Decatting the car is an MOT failure

I will try to take picture from under the car. I considered hybrid option but then its getting too expensive as few other bits are required before it can be fitted. So decided to stay with simple ko3s
