when checking the timing advances 30 degrees and ive plugged the blue sensor back in should this be checked at idle or with the revs at 2500 to see the advance.

thought this was pretty clear:
6. Rev the engine to 2.5k again, then reconnect the blue temp sensor. The timing should advance by about 30 degrees

ha ha ha got it now :grin:
right done my co2 as per the guide ...when turning the co2 it would alter the idle speed was i right to keep turning the idle back to 850-900 while measuring the co2 or should i not have touched it till co2 was correct

yeah co & idle settings are a balancing act :)
