Hi All,
I have looked through the common faults section and it seems that I've had most of them over the two years I've owned my car.
It's a MK3 Estate with the 2.0 AGG engine.
Previously I have changed the two probelmatic relays and the crack position sensor which was knackered - this cured the cutting out on motorways problem
Now however I have a new problem.
I have very lumpy tickover and I can disconnect the MAF and Hall sender plugs and the engine will still run the same. When I try to accellerate it is very hesitant until about 2000-3000 rpm and evern then seems to be lacking power.
My question is. Is my car in limp home mode??? - will limp home mode disregard all the sensor inputs and keep the engine running even when they are unplugged?
I have ordered a VAGCOM cable which should be coming tomorrow - I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar limp home mode problems?
Many thanks in advance
Martyn.

Id start by thoroughly cleaning the throttle body before anything else.

Hi again, thanks for the tip, I've had the dirty throttle body problem before. It's kept super clean now! :)
Its definately not a dirty throttle body.
Thanks

Checked TB last night - super clean.
Still have same problem.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Thanks
