Title: headlight weirdness

I looked in the vr6 handbook, bulbs for the headlights are listed as 2 x H4 and 2 x H1 plus sidelights.

I bought a set off ebay, same types, and went to fit them. Lo and behold, I have 4 x H1 55w and 2 x 5w sidelights, no sign of any H4's nor any way to fit them. What the hell is going on here?

The headlights are absolutely pathetic, couldnt see to piss wi them - lol. Could be low voltage, bad earthing, will check that out today - but - Anyone shed any light (pardon the pun) on this difference in the bulb types?

4x H1's is correct, the handbook is wrong.

As you say though, standard bulbs are pants. I bought a HID kit for £40 over a year ago and it's still going strong

ebay, there's about 1,000,000 on there for around that price :wink:
