I am after some roof lining glue/spray or other, main dealer wanted £30 quid which is a bit steep as i only need it for a small area approx 1/5 of the roof area.
Anyone used anything and can reccommend.
Thanks

Mt roof lining is sagging, I tried all sorts of spray glue from pro upholsters to stuff you can buy at automotive shops, nothing worked for me mate, in fact, all I did was stain the lining :undecided:
My advice..................think very carefully!!! :undecided:

I got a can of foam glue from 3M its pretty lethal stuff but seems to work!

Anyoe else got any good advice

From the reading I have done, the general consensus is to replace the whole roof lining. A tad fiddly, but not that hard. If you have a 3 dr mk2, I have seen them go for a fiver on ebay.

I know of a pretty decent glue for roof linings. Simply because I retrimmed mine in black suede, so did plenty of research first, and glad I did because it worked really well.

Hi Fella,
Use the carpet spray glue you find in the diy shops. Trick is to use spray the base first, then wait upto a minute to let it go tacky before you apply the lining to the base.
If the glues still wet when you apply the two surfaces together, the glue stains the lining

^^ Whilst doing my research I found out that you have to buy a decent glue which will hold at high temperatures (roof of car gets quite hot with the sun shining onto it!)

Thanks, will just buy the proper stuff from the steamers to end this thread in a great way.
Thanks for the advice from all
