hi guys.
just bin out cleaning the car, pulled the floor mats out, and they are all wet underneath front and back
im guessing this means i have more than one leak. where should i start looking?

ahh, kool =) am a newbie and this game, but have ordered myself some new toys to start taking things apart and having a go a fixing them

You cant buy the original inner door "skins" from vw anymore, but they do sell a roll of sponge type "stuff" but at £10 a roll its a tad expensive. Some peeps use like a bin bag material, then gaffa tape them up....that should fix the problem.
Make sure your rubber door seals are intact aswell....just incase one isnt sealing, or is twisted up

i had a leak around the leaf guard and water dripping down the middle of the leaf guard
and i also have a leak on my windscreen
