Been scouting round the internet, mags etc and searched on here, but can't find anything, pics or otherwise of a mk2 with the bumpers removed!
Anyone ever tried this or has anyone got any pics of any that have been done?
I like it on the mk1s but gonna try it on my mk2!

Cheers Nick, I was wondering if I could smooth them somehow and rock it lol!

I think the over hang is too big for it to ever look good.

Yea thats very true, might have to go for smooth big bumpers then.
Or do the retro small bumpers as Im doing now. See its completely original, and for now I wanna keep it that way, but in the future when I do mod it, Im either gona do something completely different, or just mod it subtly and retro if you get me?

Easy enough to make it look ok.

Sans-grille, but it gives you an idea...

(I think this is the nicest photo anyone's ever taken of my car - shame the car isn't in a 'nice' state! )
I've always thought about bending some sheet metal round, but since seeing it on a mk1, I've hated the idea - just looks too smooth and ugly. Plus, it would kinda defeat the best point about removing bumpers - weight saving.
