Sounds like its just an oil change service, if its the proper full inspection service inc spark plugs etc that should be done at 4 years / 40k (time and distance) its an absolute bloody bargain.

Had the Ed30 in yesterday for 4th service (54k) and just under 3 years.   Basic cost was £138; extras like plugs oil etc added about £100 - anyway £284 with the VAT added.

I was getting my gti serviced today, £146 for a 3rd year service and an mot. I asked about the 4th service and girl said it needs a cambelt change and they charge about  £500 for that, should of asked if  that is including the service or just for the cambelt , going to  start saving for next year

I just got the same service done on my GTI in a VW garage for €249 (£225). Drove an hour to them, instead of using two more local garages.

Air filter 06f133843b     £14.34
Spark plugs 101905631h  x4  £41.16
Cleaner                        £2.88
Drain Plug n90813202    £1.26

Waste oil disposal           £6.99

Longlife oil/filter i supplied to keep costs down.

Parts total £69.14

Labour total £136.63

Vat £37.23

Total price £249.99

That is for a 4th service schedule.

Your quote must be for parts only and not Labour+ vat at 17.5%.

3rd service is normal just visual inspection which normally is just oil change etc, and thats your lot.

My car is a Feb 2007 Edition30 dsg. 42k on the clock
