Title: New to the forum! - 2001 Golf GTi 1.8T

Hi Everyone, i recently bought a 2001 Golf mk4 1.8T and have re-affirmed my love for the dub!

I have previously owned Polos and a Golf Mk3 during my student days, but have now decided to up the ante and get a GTi. I am so impressed with the car. Its the 150 bhp version.

I bought the car knowing the clutch would need replacing. I changed the flywheel to a single mass at the same time and did it with my brother during a quiet night. I have also chnaged the air filter to give a better rasp from the engine.

My next plans are to re-map the car...(any suggestions welcome) and to get some new alloys (the standard GTi's are beginning to wear.) - looking currently at either 18" R32 style of the RS8s....comments?

Anyway, hope to get involved in lots of topics, trying to learn more about how i can make my car even better!
