Hello

I've just bought a golf GTi for my Mrs. and I'm well impressed with it.

I've already used this site to get instruction on replacing the thermostat and CTS sensor. I had an engine warning light on and established what the problem was before I bought the car. Thanks to T_J_G for his detailed post with pictures, it was a great help.

I'm not a mechanic, but i hate paying for things I think I can do myself. So far that theory has worked!!

The thermostat job was a bit fiddley, I dropped a bolt into the engine bay and it took me ages to find and recover it. Then I snapped the dipstick guide tube!!!!

All sorted now though.

I can feel the GTI bug coming on already :grin: :laugh:
