People seem to be of the opinion the front fogs are crap on Mk2 Golfs. I will be fitting my front bumper at some stage and was wondering had anyone fitted spots instead of fogs to the front bumper where the fogs normally go.
I wont be able to fit a grill with spots as the intercooler will be in the way.
Was looking at these (HELLA FF50), has anyone any pics of there similar setup, I was going to trip out the plastic where the fogs go and slot these in.

Spot / Driving lights will be a waste of time fitted that low down.
Your best option is to fit an uprated wiring loom to make your headlights work like they should do. I'd leave the original fog lights just because they fill the holes in the bumper properly.

that looks ok

No, that looks minging, with the chav bonnet extension covering the headlights.
Spot/fog is controlled by the construction of the lamp, as well as the positioning, so those could very well be aftermarket fog lights

the only part of that that looks "cool" is the brake cooling ducts !!!!
the rest of it looks like a chav's dream !!!!!

One mans heap, is another mans palace, each to there own!
I think the lamps look cool, if every tried the same thing, that would just be boring, and defeat the purpose of these forums!
I think I'll go for these spots and give it a go anyway.
I was planning on upgrading the headlamp loom anyway.
