Just a quick question, when do most of you start to do your full on details outside; including machine polishing, waxing etc.
I was thinking to start mine when it gets to about 13C or more. Providing it isn't damp of course. I have been waiting for my full detail since I bought the car but its simply been way too cold to even think about waxing and polishing it.
I may do a thorough wash on it pretty soon as I think that 13C+ isn't just round the corner.
If only I had a big heated garage

Wouldnt a liquid wax like Dodo's Red Mist serve as a good alternative in this weather ? These are the months when you need the protection. I'm glad I did mine and I topped up my wax the other day with Red Mist and it was fine.

red mist is fine but wont give very good protection for long, nearing to the end of autum is when you want to get as much protection detailing done so you dont have to battle with the weather in the winter months.
collinite 845 is a good one for quick waxing with maximum protection.

You can do It when its cold & dry, just takes a bit longer. I split the full Corsa detail I did not too long ago over 2.5days.
When It gets to the polish/wax stage my rule of thumb for this time of year Is to get the polish & wax on before 2 In the afternoon, as It this time of the day the temps start to plumet & even when dry you get condensation over the car.
