Hi,
Is it possible for the Golf MK5 to automaticly lock when the car moves?
Thanks
-
Yes - you just have to get it turned on.
It's called anti hijack mode I believe.

If you have the MFSW then you can do i via the menus on the MFD.
If not then you need to get your dealer to activate it with VAS or speak nicely to someone on here with VAG COM.

if you have the highline computer you can do it yourself if not you will need a vag-com

As above, my stealer charges £18 for the privelage.
-
I thought it auto locked above ~15mph anyway?
-
only if its switched on
-
Mine auto locks at around 10mph

Thats easy money for the couple minutes it takes, the specialist I got my car from is happy to do it for nothing since I got the car there. Good for bussiness I suppose.
Is that the VW garage off Wellington road you use in Aberdeen?
-
Yeah speccy's ...
I think if I wanted them to do it as part of a service or something I could sweet talk them into doing it FoC. One of the techs is a genuine enthusiast and pretty good to deal with. Others are just jobsworths.
Don't really want it to be honest, passengers would just be trying to wrench the handles off trying to get out
Aberdeen's not that bad yet anyway

^^^^ He's right you know. It should be under 'convienence'.
Hold down the bottom selector for a few seconds and you can get into the menus for doors, locks, lights, etc... :afro:

Only problem with it is that I have retard mates how will try and open the dooe (you have to do it twice whilst the engine is still running) and they can work it out so end up almost ripping the handle off.
