Hello all I posted this already but still no reply from anyone.
Having serious problems with my MK4 Golf GTI, 2.0i Year 2000 with 100k.
1) car drives great except now if I try to "floor it" when overtaking etc, it seems to loose power and stutters, yet if I accelerate slowly it runs perfect!
the loss of power (engine stuttering) really worries me.
I got myself error code reader and cable, FREE version but yet it does the trick
The codes I recieved back from the GTI are
16806 - Main Catalyst: Bank 1 : Efficiency Below Threshold
P0422 - 35-00
17834 - EVAP Purge Valve (N80): Open Circuit
P1426 - 35-10
any help or advice would be great !
ALSO!
I noticed a vibration under the pedals, and when I rev it over 20 it sounds like there is a hole in the exhaust, but I looked and couldnt see any, could a hole cause these errors?
