What do you guys think it seems too cheap?
This is my first vw so i am not sure what I should be looking for?
Cheers,
Ben

Seems cheap
-
Yea thats what I was thinking.
Whats the main thing I should be checking?
-
ask him why. hpi check and see it has been crashed or something. it has full vw service history, but i would check that, as some people lie or get it wrong. otherwise it might just be bargain!
-
Cheers for that. I will do the hpi check. Fingers crossed its a bargin!
-
Screams 'scam' to me.
-
That's about the going trade price so seems reasonable.
Check the mileage in your HPI check though in case it's had a hair cut or something but you should be ok.
Biggest test is offer £1500, if he tells you where to go then it's probably genuine, I guess that as he is a 'trader' he won't budge far off that price maybe £100-150.
-
lets not forget it is a 2000 model. It's 10 years old! i'd say the price wasn't far wrong
-
one of my friends has just bought a 2000 gti t for £700 it has just been motd and has full service history
-
I'd agree with the lasts couple of posts. Doesn't seem "too good to be true", just normal
-
Dai-Cymru sold his turbo for £1600 a couple of weeks back so I'd say that's now about the going rate
Test drive it and hopefully grab a bargain :afro: You'll need the extra cash to fix everything that will go wrong with it :lipsrsealed:
-
About right price
-
Price seems about right. I picked up my 1.8T for £2400 - a year newer, but slightly higher milage.
-
Good price. I think its about right too. Go for it. Looks nice.

Car valuations from What Car are normally quite accurate.

Hi Ben
Definately the right ball park. I just bought a dark blue one with same mileage with full leather recaros for £2500 (negotiated down a little) but keep some money back as there willl no doubt be problems like mine has.
Looks like a nice car but i had been looking a long time and i think you could get one for a bit less and maybe even that one.
Either way good luck!
