hi i have a mk3 gti 8v agg engine code when driving its fine then when it gets to 3k it feels like its holding back but if i take my foot of the gas and put it back down  its fine any idears whould the thortle body being dity cause this

Quite possibly, Have you tried looking beneath the o/s/r wheel arch though?....there may well be a some severe road kill build up under there causing tjhe car to be held back?!?!   :rolleyes:

but if it was that i would not hold back when i take my foot of the peddle and put it back on

I think you're mistaking that for the small child option.
