So I was driving home this arvo and the car lost power very suddenly.
I pulled up and firstly noticed the header tank was empty
Popped the lid off the air filter housing and there was about a cup full of watery oil in there, obviously dumped by the breather.
Any one have any idea of where I should start? Or is it terminal?
Engine is 1.3 HK 1984

Headgasket??
-
What does it look like inside the oil filler cap? Any overheating? Is there any evidence of oil inside the expansion tank?
-
Head gasket was done about 5 years ago but in that time the car has only covered about 2500 miles.
No oil in the expansion tank and no sign of anything untoward on the oil filler.
It did take a while to reach temperature today which I thought was odd but didn't think anything of it until the further problems.

Strange how it lost power like that.
Is it running ok now? I'd probably be topping up the water and running it and see if it is losing water rapidly

I had to drive with the choke out to get home but have now drained the oil and will replace tomorrow.
There is a domed shaped breather body on the crank case which I might look at replacing too.

What was the oil like?
Yeah the flying saucers can apparently be a problem.
Hope its nothing serious
