Title: wet floor mat

drivers side floor mat is getting wet, same spot all the time ive got no sun roof all windows are shut,underneath is solid and is getting wet being stationed, i know from having a mk2 some times the roof drains can block, just wondered if anyone else has had this prob? :cry:

There are two drainage holes under the front scuttle panel that get blocked. Remove the scuttle panel and they are located in the inner wing. Clean them out and then test by pouring water down the hole....it should come back out at the bottom of the wing. If not that then it could be coming in through the door if the plastic is ripped or removed.      Cheers      Deano

also have a look at the pollen filter. Check to see if it's wet as that's were water was coming in on my old MK2.

Could be leaking heater matrix? Where is the wetness and does it smell/feel like antifreeze?

On the subject of the leak, have a look around the top edge of the windscreen. Mine leaked through here due to corrosion of the steel under the seal, the water making its way down through the car and into the rear footwells.
