Whats the best method of removing a couple of surface scratches in my lacquer ?
Whats the best scratch removal polish to use?
-
how deep is it?
if its too deep then no amount of polish will remove it
have a look at my scratch repair thread in the detailing section ( in the faqs and guide section at the top)

from your description above, a rotory or a DA machine is best for removing scratches, if you havent got any of those then you could have a go by hand using a medium to fine compound rubbing in a circular motion with a soft pad using light to medium pressure going across the scratch.

Thanks for the advice and info will give it a go,would some T-Cut be suitable?

if your finger nail will catch in it you may struggle, better option would be to buy soe cheap lacquer in a spray can, spray some in the lid, then use a fine brush to touch in, once dry take down level with 2000 grade paper then use a machine or hand to polish it up, but be very carful as you can rub through

Finger nail barely catches it , maybe will disappear through time with normal polishing, will see how it goes.
