Hi all
I'm having a bit of a problem with my nearside indicator: it's stuck on constantly (i.e. not flashing).
I've changed the relay (hazard switch) for a brand new one, but that didn't solve it. The 3 indicator bulbs are all fine (front, side and rear). If I disconnect the relay and remove both the indicator and hazard fuses, it still remains lit. The only way to make it go out is to disconnect the battery.
I'm running out of ideas. Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks

Do you have the correct bulbs in all three? If not this could cause a short. :undecided:
Earthing fault?

Yeah, the bulbs haven't changed since the fault occurred.
It's interesting you should mention an earthing fault. The car has recently had a gearbox rebuild, which is when the problem started. Do you know if there are any earth connections around the gearbox/clutch area that might have been disturbed?

Does anyone know of a guide for checking the earth on a Mk4 Golf?
Thanks
