MINTEX
-
yeah mintex 1144's i know. But can't find anywhere for them.
-
Ideally don't want to spend more than £50 on a set of pads tbh.
Ferodo's are £100. Mintex 1144 £Havnt found supplier yet
Cheap ass mintex on ebay £20
OMP : £38 - Rebranded cheap ass mintex with babble to go with it ?
Problem is they all sing from the same hym sheet when selling these so they all sound mint.
-
what about the green pads im sure if you put mintex into the google search you will get a supplier.
-
Mintex 1144's are very good. You can get them here:

I use these guys for parts for the track car and they're well priced and delivery is excellent.

Damn expensive though!!
-
EBC Red or Yellow pads from buypartsby. c£50/60. (For Yellow, you need to look up the Audi S3). ;)
-
Wow that website link all were very expensive.
I'll take a look at EBC yellows, Reds take too long to warm up
-
Ivor they're £93 Plus vat for the pads...Not £60
-
What about the green pads?
-
Greens are usually found coating your wheels, they're too soft and only rated to 200bhp
-
What about the green pads?

Which front pads would be best if you've only about £50 spare?
-
OEM ones if they're around £50. Cheap performance pads are a false economy.

The reds are 57+vat & the yellows are: please ring. Sorry, mate - it was about a year a go when I got mine, but there was about a tenner difference between the 2 IIRC.

save up and get the ferodo

See above.

There's no way I would even contemplate paying over £100 just for some pads

The DS2500's are awesome, but I begrudge (or the missus does, lol. :P) paying £130 for a set of front pads. They are better than the yellows, but I don't really think they're TWICE as good, as the price would have you assume (IMO). ;)
-
I think for the sake of a few extra beer tokens I could manage with the yellow pads

Bob, for £57+vat, you won't be disappointed in the redstuff. :afro:
-
Which are better out of the red and yellow? Also, are they both actually road legal?

They're for the 280's. You need the 41330's. ;) Also, they'll be cheaper from buypartsby. :)
-

Yes, they both are unlike the DS2500's. Yellow are better (when hot), but if you don't track, then red would be best as a fast road upgrade.

Sweet, nice one mate! I think I'll take a good look at the red stuff then. I'm absolutely positive the Mintex pads I got off eBay are fakes, absolutely no bit at all. AND, they're red so they'll match my callipers!

I would sell you my yellows, but the sensor wire has come out of the back of the pad! You'd just have to visually check them once a month or something?? :undecided:
-
Wouldn't bother me mate, I check myself often anyway.

That's the pad, but look at the price from those guys!! :o
-
Yeah crazy eh? buypartsby are cheapest after adding on vat AND delivery!! If you want to get shut of those pads drop me a PM or something

Could be worth a gamble for a score, then???
