Ive used the widow maker a few times, but always on level tarmac or concrete. its alright for changing the wheel but NOT anything else

ive learned twice the hard way with the widow marker a few ago and now only use on roadside when changing a flat but everything else is on a trolley jack, so thought tt pads would be ok to add as im still never sure about jacking at the sill

In that photo the axle stand is placed under the chassis rail

If you look directly above the jack you can see the area where you are meant to jack the car - its indicated by that horse shoe shape

yeah its like a jacking adaptor - sits in the jack and allows you to jack up on the proper point on the sill

Its solid polyurethane (sp) - got it from a GB on ukmkivs a couple of years back

should have been the other way around

Did you get a chance to see my picture before jacking?? As where I've placed my axle stand is about the safest place to locate it

i have to use the widow maker to raise mine slightly to get my trolley jack under  my sills have taken a battering over the last year or so  :lipsrsealed: as you may of seen from my pics the drivers side at the rear still bears the scars of the widow maker  :embarassed: i hat lifting mine tbh hence why i'm going to get some skirts to fit to hide the wounded sill
