Title: Mk 2 Rear bench into a Mk1 Caddy
Post by: X4MGS on 09 February 2010, 23:57
Can A MK2 Rear Bench be fitted to a Mk1 Caddy?

I have done a search and come up with a blank...

Is there a "How To Do It" Thread?

Thanks Guys...

The fronts do, but from memory the rear bench doesn't fit. Have a look on MK1 OC site I've seen many threads on their about this

The mk2 bench is much bigger (taller and wider) with different fixings than the mk1. If you manage to get it under the hooks then there's no way of securing the back without mods so it kinda just sits there unsecured. It is generally recommended to recover the mk1 bench with the mk2 foam (if needed) and material, please note that this will require some cutting, apparently isn't too difficult though (famous last words)

Hope this helps
