The theme this month is...
Movement
as chosen by last months winner Guy!
Rules.
1) Only one shot per person so choose wisely.
2) All shots must contain a VW and relate to the theme
3) All shots must be your own work
4) Photoshopery is allowed (But detail of what's been done included with submission)
5) A naked hottie will clearly win.
6) Details of equipement (Rig, Off camera flash etc) used should be submitted with entries.
7) Cut off date for entries is the last day of the month at 11:59pm.
8 ) Shots should ideally be taken for the competition and not just dragged out from your archives.
All the above should help those voting judge the shots not only on their own merit but also allow those without any fancy gear a fair shot.
At the end of the month a poll will be set up to determine the winner. The winning person will receive naff all apart from the warm fuzzy glow of being a better photographer for that month than anyone else!
Now get those cameras out and get snapping!

-
oooh... glad you like the choice of subject chaps... good luck and all that!

ok this is a first for me, a shot of my golf practicing some light trails i took this a couple of weeks ago for a street photograph for a 52 week photography challenge i'm doing to try and improve my photography skills or lack off i like the image although i didn't use it as my main image for the challenge as i had a stronger light trail image ,the picture was taken with a nikon d80 on a cheap tripod can't remember which lense i used ,timed the exposure to around 15 seconds and got the wife to drive off before the shutter closed if i can come up with anything else i'll have a go

i'm hoping this is a valid entry?
No photoshop. Just a tri-pod, Canon 450D with Apature priority on F9...

I can't believe it's going to sh!t it down all week. Looks like I'll be sitting in the car praying for a break in the rain at Brands on Friday.

I've got another thing going on, but I'm not sure I have enough time or flair to pull it off.
Oh and yes, I know: the speedo's broke.

I think Joe will bag it this month with that rig of his!
-
DH that is awesome!
My shot never panned out so not sure what I'm gonna do now.
Might have to raid the archive!

Cheers.
Here's the other thing I've been playing with this evening.... this is 9 shots in one image. The bottom layer has zero opacity. The others are layered over it, running 20% opacity, except the top layer which is at 50%:

H'mmm, now which one.
Both first and second were taken on a drive home tonight specifically for this comp. I actually wanted to put in a piece of video, but figured as it's photography it'd be excluded. Annoyingly I had a couple of evenings that were clear as a bell when I could have shot it...... but the C's not all there yet, so it would have ruined it.
The 500D was on self-timer on a mount, on the window, with the 10-20mm, no flash and a 1/250 exposure. They were shot in RAW at 17:40hrs for the first and then about 17:55hrs for the composite and then I've pumped the brightness, pulled the vibrance back a lot and slightly pushed the saturation.

2nd shot mate, that's even more awesome than the first one. THink you may well have stink nailed with that.

Very cool DH

Awesome shot DH
-
THink you may well have stink nailed with that.
I doubt it, but from the reception I'm going with the composite image for my entry.
-
Love what you've done with the 2nd one DH, although they're both good in their own right
I think the 2nd one simply because the driver is looking ahead
-
The composite is really good!
You've got good definition of the hands on the wheel and the gear change, as well as the motion blur outside.
-
Just went out and shot this, car is dirty but thought id try a bit of light painting along with some action from the rig bit messy on the pp as well :P

Well my plan for a shot was ruined by the rubbish weather we've been having. I therefore had to delve into the archive for this one. On the upside it's from a set of shots from the British F3 Championship that I've never even got round to looking through after I backed them up off my card. I'd forgotten I'd even taken them.

If anyone is interested this is Daniel Ricciardo in his Carlin Motorsport F3 car and was the winner on the day and sealed his 2009 championship victory. The car is powerd by a 2.0 16v which I believe is based on the FSI lump used in the run of the mill MKV Golfs and is similar to the engine powering AMD's Golf entry into the BTCC for 2010.
