Title: Need help with non starting mk1

Hi guys im looking for help with my Mk1 GTI, It's in the middle of restoration and had the engine rebuilt and all fitted in but just can't get it to start, i done all the usual test except a system pressure test as i don't have gauge, does anyone know a really good mobil mechanic or anyone in the sussex area who as big as enthusiast as me and has a spare couple of hours on a saturday that could help i wouldn't say know, need to get it going ready for show season. any help would be great. cheers

have you double checked static and ignition timing, can you hear fuel pump priming when ignition switched on?

have you pulled an injector and see if its putting fuel into a jar?

hi thanks for replying, i have checked fuel surply and that was fine, i have taken off injector and i get a dribble of fuel out, nothing under pressure.  having problems getting the coldstart valve going, i have checked it and know it works fine but doesn't want to work when connected in and turned over. thats why i need a mk1 mechanic that can sort me out.
