Title: fuel pipe issue help needed

I've recently changed the fuel filter on my 16v.
I was a little heavy handed undoing the bolt on the union furthest back, it looked very pitted and now leaks.
Where does this pipe go to in the haynes it says it goes to the metering distributor can these be changed easily or maybe chop the pipe and replace the corroded piece??

goes to engine bay by the sound of it,  you can buy unions and pipe to make replacement or get one made by goodridge or allike
