Title: LED light for the OEM alarm has died!

The LED (on the driver side window) that usually blinks when i lock the car has suddenly died, i think the alarm has died also, what could be wrong?? Will it be expensive to fix?? ???? :-[

Needle in a haystack.. could be the central locking playing up causing the alarm not to activate, could be faulty remote fob, blown led ?
I'd test if the alarm was working though as a priority.. i.e sit in the car and press the key fob lock button, sit still for a minute and then move about to see if the alarm goes off.. after that its probably a trip to the dealership  :-\
