Title: decent wheel refurb?

anyone no of a decent wheel refurb company in the guildford area? had mine done last year and the paint is peeling and you can see the old paint underneath and no primer was used :shocked: cost me £180 so im a bit anoyed as i always cleaned them and sealed them.

Getting Mine refurbed on the edges and then powder coated this week  :cool: :cool:

Unfortunately they are getting done in Stockport so no use to you if I told you how they look after  :sad:.

defo powder coat mate that will last its shame to as i have just left my last job where i was a powder coater and wet sprayer and i only live near chertsey so could have done them for you cheap shame you didn't post about month ago. :smiley:

that is a shame, how much is it roughly to get powder coat done, there 15 inch by 7 j mim 1900 wheels (multu spoke deepdish)

Depends really anything from sort of £30 a wheel upwards TBH  :smiley:

we used to charge £160 thats sandblasting as well which you will want to get down for a better finish and also get them lacquered as most places wont do that as it costs sh*t loads to buy a box. :smiley:

I know of a company in Crawley called Wheel Works.  They did a wheel on a mates Scirocco and they did a lovely job... I think it was about £50 a wheel.

On their website it shows you the process the wheel goes through - quite interesting

Unfortunately the company I mentioned below do not do the Monza alloys as they guarantee all of the work they do and are not happy doing this on the monza alloy

Something to do with the amount of polished face

Ill keep looking at let you know where I find

Getting them done at Prestige Wheels in Furness Vale Mate.

£70 per wheel but looking at some of the wheels they are doing in there you would be willing to pay the money for the quality  :wink:
