Title: Wheel brushes etc.
Post by: Andy-H on 05 February 2010, 17:25
After some more advice from you guys please

I am having the wheels refurbed next week and having a cream colour finish on them. These will need a lot of attention to keep them clean me thinks  :undecided:.

My questions are:

1.What is the best type of wheel brush to use, Waxamomo had a triple set on offer recently and I wondered if these were the best compared to the microfibre/sponge type ?

2. What to seal the wheels with to make them easier to keep clean and what wheel cleaners do you recommend.

The wheels are Brock B3's

Thanks again,

Andy

This is a good brush :http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=212&idcategory=13 (http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=212&idcategory=13) Good to reach inside the rim. A soft sponge/mitt to wash the face of the wheel and spokes.

And then seal them with this: http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=165&idcategory=13 (http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=165&idcategory=13)

and this sealant is cheaper too

even cheaper if this is your first time using waxamomo - use the 'gimme5' discount code at the checkout

Collinite 476 works extremely well at sealing the alloys

I bought some rims off Greenouse.

He washed the rims (off the car), clayed them, gave a coat of poorboy's wheel sealant and then two coats of collinite. Meant that when I needed to clean them, a simple blast with a hosepipe was more than enough.
