although I didn't do mine myself it looked fairly straightforward and can be completed easily if you got a basic understanding of how a ratchet and socket works

Make sure you got a decent trolley jack to support the engine

Is there a good place to get both upper and lower mounts online?

http://www.thsperformance.co.uk/product/FR3_Full_Engine_Mounting_System_THSFR3-CMP

would it be worth getting this over standard parts.

is that all the bits i would need to do them all (take it there is just 3: lower and 2 upper ones?)

I've got the THS engine mounts and can't fault them at all.  Got the R32 dogbone mount but the THS one is much along the same lines

Cheaper than standard parts and better

Don't forget the new bolts though as per the how-to link

when doing the lower dogbone mount, wheres the best place to put the jack to support the engine?

Always thought jacking it up on the sump was a no no?

just get a block of wood to rest between the jack and the sump - the engine mounts will be taking the majority of the weight anyway.  Its only in case the engine may drop a little though you may get lucky and it won't move at all

got the mounts done along with the fuel filter/handbrake sorted, turned out my rear left capiler had seized up, but they fixed it and now handbrake needs pulling up about 2 notches to be solid which is good.

however engine shuddering is still there when you come to a stop/going along slowly in traffic comes and goes.

what else could it be? engine done 133k. has oil change every 10k or there abouts
