On top of the rocker box cover about 4 inces by 4 inches, it has a pipe that comes out of the left hand side of it and is routed down the front and back into the engine. This pipe also goes to the rear and into the inlet track rubber, the question is...
Are these prone to leaking oil?? Mine is and so is the one on my wifes Ibiza GTi, whats involved with removing this black box to check out the pipes etc??
Thanks in advance

Whats leaking? the 4x4 inch black box or the hoses, usualy a very dry engine. Steve.

Thanks for the replies, it would seem that oil is leaking from inside this box and is travelling down the pipe at the front of the engine and also travelling along the pipe that meets the inlet track pipe.
Any ideas how to get it orf?? I have taken out the two top screws but boy it a tight fit, or, there are more screws hidden away...I can hear the sound of breaking plastic and expletives coming in the near future.

Ive also undone the two screws and can not get the plastic box off
any help

yes, take the two screws off then you can just pull the cover off. its just held on with little clips that wont break. it sounds like the seal under there may be leaking? i wouldn't think the hoses would be leaking where they connect to the intake pipe and cam cover cos they are pretty tight fitting. then again so is the seal that holds it all to the cam cover. best bet is to take the cover off the black box, pull off the hoses and inspect the area.
