Title: Nokia N97 with bluetooth
Post by: mags on 31 January 2010, 08:03
Can anyone tell me if they have successfully paired an N97 mini to their VW premium bluetooth. I have an Iphone which I assumed worked but will not pair due to no RSAP and have shortlisted the N97 but neither Vodafone or any forums I have looked on can confirm that the N97 has RSAP. I want to get a phone today if possible and that is the only one I fancy as I have a Bold which is what I was using before getting the Iphone.

Cheers

hiya - i got an N97 mini a few days ago and it pairs perfectly with my factory vw bluetooth for Mk6 GTI.

N97 mini definately has RSAP.

Note that the N97 mini is a pretty good phone.   Not as many apps as an iphone, but much smaller and better to carry around and has a better battery life.  Note that to get more than a day's use, you do have to take some of the widgets off.  Screen is nice and touch screen works very well.

Also - just to confirm the address book came up first time with no issues and voice tagging works really well, dead easy and quick to do.

Thanks. I picked one up on Saturday but have not had a chance to use it yet in the car.

Was using this yesterday.  Phone was low on juice so I was able to charge it up using the USB. Other benefit to this is that the podcasts and music I have on the N97 can be accessed and played via the Media menu on the RCD510
