Hey Guys! My names Jon, I am 17, and got my first car today for £220! 1995 VW Golf GTi 1.6! :)
Don't know much background on the cars, so registered here hoping to learn a thing or 2! Will get some pictures of the beauty up soon!
Its not a knackered car or a rustbucket, even though it was £220. Im guessing you're all asking "why so cheap!"
Well! My step mums friend had this car, and a Vauxhall Astra, and she needed some work doing on the Astra, so my dad did the work for her, and she wanted to get rid of this lovely little Golf, No M.O.T though, so my dad said he'd give her £50 for it as its not M.O.T'd, she said she'd M.O.T it and sell it for more, it failed M.O.T on the front offside suspension spring, so she paid £160 to get it done, then said If we covered the M.O.T and work costs, we could have it
So now I sit here, with a massive silly grin on my face and the keys in my hand!

Hell no! But I haven't had any quotes under 3 grand :/
welcome... for that price insurance you might want to be sticking to your skateboard
-
Haha,
Gave up skateboards after a horrific incident which broke 7 bones in one hit and snapping my hip another time!

Good news! Found an awesome Provisional Drivers insurance company, £256.50 for 3 months insurance on this car fully comp!
I will have to sign the V5 over to my dad like, and he has to be separately insured too, but thats a f**king bargain compared to the Average £3,500 TPO cover quotes I been getting!
