Basically the seals are gone/going on my k03 turbo, think its disgusting how much a new one costs from alot of places. Heard cheap ones on ebay are a no go.
So I am left on what to do, I've seen repair kits, are they worth it? If not I imagine taking off the turbo and sending it is the next best bet, don't really want to get a second hand one for the reason this turbo only did 69k and failed, would not like the same risk sometime soon. Any advice on price and where to take it for repair if this is the option?

if your after replacing it then it may be worth upgrading to a K03s or you could send it to a turbo specialist for a rebuild.
I do have my old K03 for sale which works fine, seals are good, no smoke, no play in shaft and holds boost great.

I would get it repaired professionally. I bought a kit and repaired my k24 turbo. It may need oversize parts so it would be wasted.
I went to http://www.turbodevelopments.co.uk (http://www.turbodevelopments.co.uk). Brilliant service and they tell you whats wrong with it. Can also mod it to a spec you want.

Sounds good, do you know how much the seals would cost and maybe a 8fin compressor wheel, as its really down to money at the moment, I can get a cheap k03 with a cat and manifold with 40k milage for like £120 for the time being, but its all down to price.
