Ok guys here is one to test the most knowledgeable.
Ive had problems with my 1996 mk3 8v juddering under accleleration from 4000rpm onward and generally running rough.
No trace of a misfire etc when revving only appears when car is in motion.
So far I have replaced the following: Ht leads, Rotor, Dizzy cap, plugs, fuel relay, ecu relay, cleaned out the throttle body. Checked for vacuum leaks. Ive also reset the ECU
Ive now had the ECU read and all seems to be OK apart from the following error code 00537 lambda sensor control upper stop value error occurs intermittently.
Guy who did the diagnostics said this shouldnt cause a problem but im beginning to wonder if he is wrong. So I need advice and where do I get a new lambda sensor from and how easy are they to fit.
cheers for your help.

Someone who has changed out their exhaust is probably best for this .
However i believe they just screw into the manifold before the cat .

I wouldnt source any stuff like this other than form a dealer. Best to use authentic parts.
Yes the sensor is in the exhaust, somewhere between the manifold and the CAT.
Its probably in the most inaccessible place and means taking off the pipe!
But dont know.

Euro car parts sell them as well.
I'm sure I've read on here that the coil could cause similar problems...
