Thanks for all the responses, got a quote today for £146, only £150 excess with heritage, really nice guy called and sorted me out, give em a try guys.

Limited to 1500 miles per year, but covered for track days, European cover and guarenteed value of car at 2k estimated for now. Can complete quote online then someone will call u back to have a chat with you usually day after, initial quote had excess at £400 which was way too steep, told the guy this and gave me an improved quote that was too cheap to true.
Heritage insurance,top firm for classic car insurance.

I wonder how many people are still insuring their cars on standard policies and paying far too much?
My Cousin has a Daihatsu Fortrack that is built for green laning. He rang me to say that it was probably going to have to go as Direct Line wanted £600 to renew his insurance. He did'nt use it that much, so couldn't justify the cost.
I told to to try some specialists, and he got full cover with all mods included, proper cover for off roading, and an aggreed value all for less than £200. :smiley:

Without this tip of trying a couple of insurers I would av been selling mine also, but not anymore, best news for ages.

That's a really good price nice one, i tried Heritage today but couldn't help me as i use my golf as a daily and my mileage was to high, anyone know if i can insure my golf on normal insurance with an agreed value i,ve ask my insurance company and they didn't really know much about it.
