My Gti Turbo has done 69000 miles and has full service history but i dont think it has had a cambelt, can anyone tell me when i should think about getting it replaced, its a w reg by the way. Any advice would be great.

Sometime in the near future mate.. ignore what it says in the handbook. Mine's about to hit 69000 too and i'll have mine done this side of Christmas. Worth getting the waterpump changed too.. it's only a matter of time before the plastic breaks up and causes you no end of problems, no labour charge usually if you have it done with the belt/tensioner since you have access to it while the belt is off.

If you have FSH and keep that up then wont it get done at the right time anyway?
